If you live in the Los Angeles area, or if you simply want to keep up on activities in the global 3-D community, consider membership in the LA 3-D Club. Membership includes many 3-D benefits, among them monthly meetings (including five 3-D photo competitions per year), monthly 3-D film screenings, workshops on various 3-D techniques, 3-D photo exhibitions, our digital newsletter, the 3-D News, and unique and stimulating 3-D programs. But the most important benefit is in the membership itself. Members come from all types of fields and arenas of artistic and photographic creativity and range from enthusiasts to professionals. Conversations are diverse, interesting, and are a good source for learning more about what is going on in this field.

The LA 3D Club was founded in 1955 as the PSA Stereo Club of Southern California. (PSA is the Photographic Society of America). After a few years the requirement to be a PSA member was dropped and the name became The Stereo Club of Southern California (SCSC). In 1959 the Beverly Hills Stereo Club ceased to exist as a separate club, and was absorbed into the SCSC. In 2009, to bring the club name up to date with Internet domain names, the Stereo Club of Southern California name was changed to the LA 3D Club with the domain name www.la3dclub.com

The PDF files from 1955 to 1984 contain board meeting minutes, membership lists, miscellaneous notes, by-laws of the club, competition rules, auction rules, and newsletters. The first occurrence of a "News Bulletin" is in September 1961. "News Bulletin" continued until October 1968, when the first issue of "3-D News" with a header appeared.

PDFs for the "3-D News" newsletters only  begin with the 1985 year. Earlier years of "3-D News" appear with other materials (minutes and other papers) in those years folders.  They are being scanned in order, so more issues will appear as they are scanned.

The Stereo Club of Southern California was formed in 1955. By-laws, treasurers reports, membership lists, banquet lists and programs,  minutes of board meetings, lists of yearly officers and directors, monthly 3-D News newsletters and other printed pertinent materials are included in these PDFs scans, as noted.
